The candidate should have strong expertise in building construction, structural works, civil works, and project management. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>Experience in piling works and foundation construction will be an added advantage. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cbr />\u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cb>Key Responsibilities \u003C/b>\u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Lead, plan, coordinate, and manage large-scale civil and structural construction projects from commencement to completion. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and successful delivery of major construction projects. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Supervise and coordinate site teams, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Manage projects to ensure completion within approved time, cost, quality, and safety requirements. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Review and interpret structural, architectural, civil, and engineering drawings. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Supervise building and structural works, including foundations, reinforced concrete, steel structures, masonry, and associated works. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and construction methods. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical and construction-related challenges. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Review contractors' work progress, programmes, materials, workmanship, and resource requirements. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports, method statements, inspection requests, and other project documentation. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Monitor project budgets, quantities, variations, procurement, and construction costs. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Ensure proper quality control and quality assurance throughout the project. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Ensure compliance with relevant Kenyan building regulations, engineering standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and environmental requirements.\u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Coordinate testing, inspections, commissioning, and handover of completed works. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Provide strong technical leadership and direction to engineering, construction, and site teams. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Identify construction risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Attend project meetings and provide technical and managerial leadership. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cb>\u003Cbr />\u003C/b>\u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cb>Required Qualifications and Experience \u003C/b>\u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized institution. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in civil/structural engineering and construction project management. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Must be registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Proven hands-on experience in running and managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Demonstrable experience taking responsibility for the overall execution, coordination, and delivery of major building and structural projects. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Strong practical experience in building construction and structural works. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, masonry, and general building works. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, specifications, drawings, quality control, and site management. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Strong project planning, coordination, reporting, budgeting, and problem-solving skills. • Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary construction teams and coordinate multiple contractors and subcontractors. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software will be an advantage. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cbr />\u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cb>Added Advantage \u003C/b>\u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Hands-on experience in piling works, including bored piles, driven piles, piling supervision, pile testing, and foundation-related works. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, or mixed-use developments. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Experience working with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and specialist contractors. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Membership in relevant professional engineering institutions. \u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Experience in cost control, contract administration, procurement, and construction claims.\u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cbr />\u003C/p> \u003Cp>\u003Cb> Key Competencies \u003C/b>\u003C/p> \u003Cp>• Strong technical knowledge
