Location: Maragua, Murang’a County
This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory excellence, and leading a pharmacy team in a growing community. The successful candidate will serve as the Pharmacist / Pharmaceutical Technologist In-Charge, responsible for ensuring full compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations while overseeing day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities • Regulatory & Professional Oversight • Serve as the registered professional in charge of the pharmacy in accordance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations. • Ensure full compliance with controlled substances handling, record-keeping, and dispensing procedures. • Maintain all statutory pharmacy records and regulatory documentation. • Dispensing & Patient Care • Accurately dispense prescriptions and provide professional counseling on medications, supplements, and over-the-counter treatments. • Provide clear dosage instructions and medication guidance to patients. • Address customer questions and resolve medication-related concerns professionally. • Pharmacy Operations • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. • Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff. • Implement proper opening and closing procedures. • Inventory & Supply Management • Manage pharmaceutical inventory, stock levels, and supplier ordering. • Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and medical products. • Maintain organized, well-controlled inventory areas. • Financial & Administrative Duties • Oversee daily sales and POS transactions. • Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation of registers. • Support ownership with operational reporting when required.
Qualifications Registered Pharmacist or Pharmaceutical Technologist Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), Kenya Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Technology Minimum 1–2 years pharmacy experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong professional ethics and regulatory discipline Excellent patient counseling and customer service skills Leadership and team supervision ability Inventory and operational management skills Basic computer and POS system proficiency Strong attention to detail and accuracy
LocationMaragua Town – Murang’a County. Candidates must be willing to live and work in Maragua or nearby towns. The town offers convenient access to Murang’a, Kenol, Thika, and Nairobi.
