MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Reporting to the Finance Manager in the Finance Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks: -
KEY TASKS

• Identify, develop, and implement the management accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor report and analyses the business performance, providing timely and accurate management reports such as variance analysis, trend analysis etc. to the management team, with recommendations where possible, so that the necessary action may be taken.
• Develop and implement an effective costing system, and continuously review to improve the efficiency of the information capturing interfaces.
• Prepare and transmit weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on timely basis.
• Support the financial planning process by coordinating, compiling, monitoring, and reporting on the operations budget.
• Ensure all inventory control programs and actions are carried out on schedule and report non-compliance.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager and the Sales Manager to support and review product gross margins of the sales functions.
• Ad hoc assistance to strategic business units in terms of information analysis to facilitate decision making
• Generate reports for management as required.

Technical proficiency –
a. Degree in Commerce/Business Management/Administration Accounting Option or equivalent b. 2-3 years working experience in manufacturing environment c. Experience in Financial & Management Accounting an added advantage d. CPA (K) e. ERP (Syspro or equivalent)
