Key responsibilities:

  • Checking and verifying time and attendance for staff on the time and attendance system on a weekly basis
  • Assisting with sending relevant information to payroll timeously
  • Administrating of termination documentation such as UI19s, certificates of service and withdrawal forms
  • Assisting as HR representative in disciplinary proceedings
  • Capturing disciplinaries, leave, and other items on the HR payroll system
  • Ensuring that all filing is up to date and correctly filed on a weekly basis
  • Arranging and taking minutes in chapel and equity meetings
  • Completing all scheduling and administration for training
  • Assisting with advertising of vacancies, scheduling interviews and reference checks
  • Coordinating medicals and safety induction
  • Assist with related HR Projects when needed.

This list is not exhaustive and other tasks may be required from time to time.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • A Grade 12 qualification
  • Qualification in Human Resource Management (Diploma/Degree would be advantageous)
  • Preferably 2 years relevant working experience
  • Experience with timekeeping and payroll software (working with Kronos and VIP Premier would be advantageous)
  • Able to deal with confidential matters with integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal relations
  • Ability to prioritize work and function independently
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills
