Livestock Assistant (live on the farm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily grazing of goats.
• Assist with feeding and watering livestock.
• Help clean and maintain goat housing and farm facilities.
• Assist during veterinary visits and animal handling.
• Observe animals and report sickness, injuries, or unusual behavior. 
• Assist with weighing goats and identifying animals by ear tag or ID number.
• Support simple farm record keeping and reporting activities.
• Assist with fencing, repairs, and general farm maintenance when required.
• Follow farm rules regarding animal welfare, cleanliness, and biosecurity. 

Requirements:

• Honest, dependable, and willing to work hard.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances while grazing livestock.
• Familiarity with livestock or farm work is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic reading and writing ability is preferred.
• Must own or have access to a smartphone.
• Must be able to use WhatsApp for communication and receiving instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience caring for goats, cattle, sheep, pigs, or poultry.
• Previous farm or agricultural work experience.
• Interest in learning livestock management and animal care.

The successful candidate will receive training in commercial goat farming, animal observation, livestock handling, and farm operations. Outstanding performers may be considered for future advancement opportunities within the company.
