Accountant

A professional accounting firm is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance, handling month-end procedures, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Experience Requirements:

•Qualified Bookkeeper or relevant Accounting qualification

•Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role

•Experience with bookkeeping up to trial balance

•Proficiency in Pastel Partner, Sage Online, and Xero

•Experience with QuickBooks and CaseWare would be advantageous

•Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Key Responsibilities:

•Process accounts up to trial balance

•Perform month-end procedures and reconciliations

•Prepare and submit VAT returns

•Manage VAT audits and maintain financial records

•Assist with the preparation of financial statements

•Review accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
