Maintenance Electrician – Solar -Komatipoort

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on solar PV systems and associated electrical infrastructure
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on systems, including inverters, cabling, and distribution boards
• Support installation and commissioning of new solar systems when required
• Maintain and service pumps, motors, and related equipment (where applicable)
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues
• Keep accurate maintenance records, reports, and site documentation (using Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Coordinate and manage maintenance activities across sites in the Komatipoort region
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical standards
• Provide on-site leadership when required and support junior staff or contractors
• Liaise with internal teams and clients regarding system performance and maintenance schedules

Minimum Requirements

• Electrical qualification (N2/N3 or equivalent)
• 3-phase qualification preferred (or solid 3-phase experience)
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance
• Ability to perform administrative tasks (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Komatipoort
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability

Advantageous

• Experience in solar PV systems and battery storage
• Experience working with pumps and motors
• Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling
• Valid driver’s license

Salary

• R20,000 per month (depending on experience)
