CASHIERS

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Till Cashier to join our team. The Till Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the cash register area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide a positive shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register and handle all customer purchases, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.
• Scan and total items accurately.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments if necessary.
• Follow all store policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
• Assist with stocking shelves and other store duties when needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle monetary transactions accurately.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

• Shift work including weekends and holidays may be required.
• Standing for long periods.
• May involve lifting items occasionally.
