Overhead Line Design Engineer

Well-established engineering consultancy specializing in electrical power systems seeks to employ a Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineer. Based in Bellville

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Sc/ B. Eng in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2years’ experience in overhead line design
• Proven working experience in PLS-CADD (non-negotiable)
• Experience with PLS-TOWER or related software advantageous
• Experience in renewable energy or large-scale transmission projects
• Exposure to transmission/distribution line design standards and practices

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Design and analysis of overhead power lines using PLS-CADD
• Perform line profiling, tower spotting, and loading analysis
• Coordinate with structural and geotechnical inputs for foundation design
• Prepare design reports, drawings, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant Eskom/SANS/international standards
• Liaise with internal teams and clients on design deliverables
