Dispatch Manager

We are looking for a retail dispatch manager. To ensure the efficient and accurate dispatch of goods from the warehouse or retail outlet to customers, branches, or third-party delivery partners. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring delivery timelines are met, managing stock accuracy, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily dispatch operations for local and regional deliveries.
Supervise and coordinate dispatch team members, including drivers, pickers, and loaders.
Plan and monitor outgoing deliveries to ensure timely, complete, and accurate dispatch of customer orders.
Liaise with courier companies, transport providers, and internal departments.
Ensure accurate documentation and invoicing accompany every order (e.g. delivery notes, picking slips).
Maintain updated dispatch records on ERP/WMS systems.
Oversee the loading and routing of delivery vehicles.
Monitor performance KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, delivery accuracy, dispatch errors).
Perform regular checks on dispatch areas to ensure cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
Investigate and resolve issues related to delays, stock variances, or customer complaints.
Support stock counts, audits, and shrinkage control initiatives.
