More about the role:

Budgeting

• Assist in quarterly reforecasting, annual budgeting and uploading
• Monthly management of opex and capex against the latest forecast
• Assist in the preparation of strategic medium to long term forecasts

Reporting

• Derive monthly revenue and expense estimates and ensure timely submissions
• Prepare variance analysis, investigate variances and commentary on financial performance
• Oversee monthly management accounts & executive reporting pack
• Assist in annual financial statements and external audit management
• Assist with board packs and presentations for senior management

Accounting and control

• Assist in efficient accounting function and effective financial reconciliations
• Manage service provider relationships, performance and terms

Modelling & Analysis

• Build, maintain, and improve your own Excel-based financial models
• Perform analysis to identify trends, key drivers, and opportunities for efficiency
• Provide recommendations based on data insights to support strategic decision-making

Governance

• Oversee secretarial/management company engagement across jurisdictions
• Various country credit and insurance regulatory reporting and compliance

People and processes

• Manage, coach and mentor team members
• Communicate proactively and effectively across jurisdictions
• Liaise with internal customers across departments to gather inputs for financial planning
• Support external audit processes by providing required financial information
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reconciliations, estimates, and reporting is accurate

Process & Efficiency

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting processes are in place
• Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations
• Benchmark processes and drive best practice

Projects

• Assist in ad-hoc tasks and projects, which typically have a commercial focus and exposure to senior management
• Partner across functions and project team

A little about who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; FMVA (Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst) certification is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modelling
• Oracle Hyperion advantageous
• Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous
• Minimum 2-years’ experience in a Finance Analyst role
• The ability to creatively solve problems
• The ability to interrogate and interpret numerical and financial information
