PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager with managing and maintaining the smooth operation of the camp. To provide leadership and development of staff, maintain lodge facilities and provide a level of hospitality which meets the Group and Camp standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of camp operations.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and hospitality standards.
  • Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Support financial administration, stock control, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and labour requirements.
  • Assume General Manager responsibilities in the GM's absence.

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years' hospitality or lodge management experience.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
  • Financial, administrative, and operational management experience.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Passion for conservation and sustainable tourism.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote wilderness environment.
