Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the company’s oil and gas inspection and testing services. This role ensures that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks. The Operations Manager will lead operational teams, optimize workflows, manage resources, and ensure high-quality service delivery across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee all inspection, testing, and field service operations across multiple project sites.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and ensure adherence to company policies and HSE standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and support operations teams including inspectors, technicians, and site supervisors.
- Assign resources effectively and manage workforce planning.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure team competency and productivity.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and industry best practices.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all operational activities.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
Client & Project Management
- Liaise with clients to ensure service expectations are met and maintained.
- Attend project meetings and provide operational updates and reports.
- Handle client escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
Planning & Reporting
- Develop operational plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare regular operational performance reports.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency initiatives.
Commercial Support
- Support tendering and proposal preparation with operational input.
- Assist in cost control and operational budgeting.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and service expansion.
