The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring strategic, operational, and business plans to ensure the organization achieves its objectives efficiently and effectively. The role involves forecasting, resource planning, performance tracking, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business activities with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term business plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes.
  • Support senior management in defining business priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, business performance, and operational requirements to inform planning decisions.

Operational Planning

  • Develop operational plans and schedules to optimize resources and productivity.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure effective coordination between departments to achieve planned objectives.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor organizational performance against targets.
  • Prepare regular planning and performance reports for management review.
  • Analyze variances between planned and actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the development of dashboards and management reporting tools.

Forecasting and Resource Management

  • Conduct demand, capacity, and resource forecasting to support business operations.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams on budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitor resource utilization and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost optimization.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, systems, and methodologies.
  • Promote decision-making across the organization.
  • Support change management and organizational development initiatives.
