Junior Garment Technologist – Old Khaki

A new and exciting opportunity has become available in our Old Khaki Department for a resilient, innovative and detail-oriented Junior Garment Technologist. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with product development in line with brand requirements and specifications
• Support the preparation and submission of accurate tech packs to suppliers
• Assist in managing the sample sealing process from development through to production
• Participate in fit sessions and support seasonal fit reviews
• Support pattern grading in line with brand and customer specifications
• Provide technical support to the Design team
• Assist in maintaining pattern block libraries and grading rules
• Help ensure garment quality standards are met
• Support QA reporting and quality investigations
• Liaise with suppliers and factories on sample approvals and quality queries
• Assist with communication between Distribution Centre QC teams and suppliers
• Participate in supplier visits and quality audits where required

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design / Clothing / Textiles / Garment Construction
• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar or related role (internship or graduate experience considered)
• Exposure to a retail or manufacturing environment (advantageous)
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel advantageous)
• Understanding of garment and pattern construction principles
