My Client is looking for a strong, experienced, and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our newly developed fire-focused restaurant overlooking the Crocodile River on the border of the Kruger National Park.

My Client is looking for a strong, experienced, and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our newly developed fire-focused restaurant overlooking the Crocodile River on the border of the Kruger National Park.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Full kitchen management and leadership
  • Menu implementation and daily service execution
  • Managing food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Staff training and kitchen discipline
  • Stock control, ordering, and food cost management
  • Maintaining hygiene and HACCP standards
  • Managing prep systems, SOP implementation, and service flow
  • Working closely with ownership and management on operational growth
  • Assisting with menu development and seasonal changes
  • Leading both à la carte and event/service operations

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who:


  • Has strong leadership ability
  • Is calm under pressure
  • Has excellent organisational skills
  • Has experience in high-end restaurants, lodges, or luxury hospitality
  • Understands modern plating and premium service standards
  • Has experience with open-fire cooking or charcoal grilling
  • Is hands-on and willing to build and mentor a team
  • Has strong administrative and stock control abilities
  • Is passionate about hospitality and guest experience
