Estimator – Electrical & Intrumentation

A leading contractor based in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Estimator – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Minimum Requirements

· Minimum 5 years’ technical experience with proven ability to develop professional tenders in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) projects

· Completed Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Management

· Strong construction and engineering contractual knowledge

· Proficient in MS Office Suite and CCS (Candy)

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare Electrical & Instrumentation estimates as directed

· Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings

· Verify accuracy of material take-offs and bills of quantities

· Prepare material take-offs for E&I scope where required

· Conduct commercial adjudication of materials, equipment, and subcontract quotations

· Compile complete cost estimates according to company procedures

· Participate in introducing new estimating techniques

· Conduct site visits when required

· Ensure accurate spreadsheets, bid analysis, and proper file management

· Maintain compliance with company estimating and procurement procedures
