Tax Compliance Assistant Manager

Hire Resolve’s client is a well-established and reputable accounting firm in Cape Town, seeking a driven and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Assistant Manager/Manager to join their Entrepreneurial Business Services team in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Advisory
• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns
• Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, including Income Tax and VAT
• Provide professional tax advisory services to clients
• Handle SARS queries, objections, appeals, and complaints
• Manage tax clearance and SARS e-Filing processes

Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Communicate complex tax matters in a clear and professional manner
• Assist with onboarding new clients and managing client portfolios

Team Leadership & Development
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff
• Provide training and ongoing support to team members
• Manage project deadlines, workflow, and deliverables effectively

Requirements:
• BCom in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Tax advantageous
• 3 – 5 years’ relevant tax experience within an accounting firm or similar environment
• Registered with relevant tax authorities such as SAIT
• Strong experience with SARS e-Filing, objections, appeals, and tax compliance processes
• Must reside in Cape Town
• Previous experience as a Tax Assistant Manager or Manager is essential
