Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets and industries.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase market share.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement sales plans aligned with company goals.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular client visits and follow-ups.

Account Management

  • Manage existing accounts to maximize repeat business and upselling opportunities.
  • Monitor customer orders, delivery timelines, and after-sales service.
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with production, supply chain, and finance teams to align sales with operational capacity.
  • Provide customer feedback to improve product offerings and service delivery.
  • Support product development initiatives based on market demand.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate sales records and CRM updates.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline status.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and improvement areas.

Branding & Promotion

  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Enhance brand visibility in target markets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with B2B clients, distributors, or industrial customers.

  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chains

Working Conditions

  • Office and field-based role (client visits required)
  • Frequent travel may be required
  • Occasional participation in trade fairs and industry events

  •  Experience in a specific manufacturing sector (e.g., plastics, FMCG, industrial goods)
  • Existing network of industry contacts
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and contract management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
