Our client in the agricultural industry, situated on the outskirts of Kraaifontein (on the R304 towards Stellenbosch), currently has the above position available for a dedicated individual with excellent administrative, financial, and written and verbal communication skills in both Afrikaans and English. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership, can work independently, and has a keen eye for detail.
The Accountant will manage a team of administrative personnel, report directly to the CEO, and be responsible for the daily administrative and bookkeeping functions up to trial balance. These responsibilities also include: *Debtors and creditors *Cash books *Journals *Wages *VAT *Asset register and depreciation *HR administration and reporting *Financial reporting *Liaison with suppliers *Yearend procedures *All other functions associated with this position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant BCom (or equivalent) degree;
• At least 5 years’ experience in the full bookkeeping function within an SME environment;
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office);
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
