The Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health, accountability, and integrity of the organization through accurate record keeping, timely reporting, proper documentation, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Key responsibilities The Accountant will be responsible for the following duties: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor cash flow and support budget preparation and forecasting activities. Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory deductions and tax returns. Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. Assist in payroll preparation and processing. Support internal and external audit activities by providing the required financial information. Monitor company expenses and ensure compliance with approved budgets. Verify and process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims. Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making reports. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies. Qualifications and requirements Applicants should meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Professional qualification such as CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, ERP systems, or similar platforms. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and numerical skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
