Procurement Officer

Position Overview

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing agricultural products, particularly coffee, while maintaining strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Business Administration.
• Basic training in coffee quality assessment and grading is an added advantage.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing.
• Experience sourcing agricultural products, preferably coffee.
• Familiarity with working with farmers, farmer groups, and cooperatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with suppliers and farmer groups.
• Evaluate product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
• Monitor market trends and pricing.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
