Storeman

The Storeman is responsible for the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and goods within the warehouse or store. This role ensures that inventory is properly managed, organized, and maintained to support smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity compliance.
• Accurately record and update inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
• Store goods in an organized manner, ensuring easy accessibility and proper labeling.
• Issue materials and supplies as requested by departments or authorized personnel.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with records.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of stock.

Qualifications:

• Basic education, preferably high school certificate or equivalent.
• Prior experience in warehousing, inventory management, or related field is an advantage.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in a standing position.

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily in warehouse or storage environments.
• May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• May involve shift work depending on operational requirements
