System Quality Assurance Officer

Job Summary To ensure that all software products developed in-house comply with the intended business processes, are seamlessly integrated with other systems, and are smoothly rolled out to the market.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities A Systems Analyst performs a wide range of duties, including some or all of the following:

Software Development & Support

• Develop User Requirements Specification documents for all software upgrades and prepare sign-off with the respective Product Manager and Chief Software Architect.
• Develop Use Case Models for all system functionalities for implementation by the software developers, and prepare sign-off with the relevant Product Manager and Chief Software Architect.
• Carry out extensive Systems Integration Tests (SIT) for all new functionalities and versions to ensure that all new changes are seamlessly integrated with other systems or modules, and prepare sign off with the Senior Manager Technology and Innovations and Chief Software Architect.
• Carry out User Acceptance Tests (UATs) to ensure the newly developed functionalities meet 100% of the user requirements specification, and prepare sign off with the relevant Product Manager and Senior Manager Technology & Innovation.
• Update the Interactive User Manual to assist users get self help assistance with every update release
• Prepare an Update Notice for each software upgrade, which shall be sent by the respective Product support personnel
• Train all SAVINGS PLUS and MSACCO support personnel on how to use the products.
• Oversee and participate in the data migration process for new clients for SAVINGS PLUS.
• Manage all ticket escalation and resolution processes, enforcing FLT Service Level Agreement response time.
• Research and introduce innovations to improve the performance and functionality of SAVINGS PLUS software and MSACCO banking switch.
• Take up roles as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Qualifications/Experience Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Computing, Information Technology, Accounting, or its equivalent
• CPA or ACCA

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Strong in Mathematics and Critical thinking
• Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Enterprise Architect UML Application
• A good understanding of the operations of SACCOs and Microfinance Institutions
• A good understanding of Accounting
• Organisational skills with an eye for detail.
• Self-driven, dynamic, multi-tasking, with the ability to work and deliver under pressure from clients

Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:

• UML Modelling
• Data migration
• Report writing

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
