KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Foreman, Mechanical (Conveyor Belts Systems)

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To implement, monitor, coordinate and control the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of the conveyor belt system. The incumbent supervises artisans and the scope of this role includes ensuring the continued operation of the conveyor belt system for the benefit of mining operations.

You will have the following:

• Must have a N3Certifiacte in Fitting / Mechanical/ Boilermaker)
• Must be a trade tested Artisan (Fitting /Mechanical /Boilermaker)
• Must have at least 10 years’ experience as a qualified Artisan in an underground mining environment

• Must have at least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Must have knowledge and experience working with an array of systems and machinery, including conveyor belts, rock-breakers, TMM, winches, engines, gearboxes, pulleys,
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.

• Process: Coordinate a team of artisans to ensure the continuous operation of conveyor belt systems
• Maintain the Conveyor Belt systems
• Stakeholder Management - Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• People - Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
• Finance: Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
• Transformation-Support the Transformation agenda
• HSEQ -Integrate HSEQ into all work processes
• Reporting and Governance and Quality Adhere to and improve reporting processes for the area of responsibility
