KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Specialised Artisan, Instrumentation -( 2 Positions)
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

Maintain and operate Main Generation farms diesel engine to ensure equipment is at all times functional to be operated during normal and emergency operations
You will have the following:

• Qualified Trade tested Instrumentation Technician / High Voltage Electrician
• Must have completed relevant safety and risk assessment training and courses
• Must have at least 6 years’ experience as a post qualified trade tested Instrumentation Technician / Electrician in an electrical substation.
• Must have at least 4 years of experience working with specifically TGOOD™, Schneider™, ABB™ and ACTOM™ switchgear
• Must have at least 4 years of experience working with Comap™ suite software and VEDA™ software
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, Swahili, and Mandarin will be considered highly advantageous.

Role Specific Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical operation on specifically TGOOD™, Schneider™, ABB™ and ACTOM™ switchgear.
• The ability to operate and program on ARCTEQ™ protection relays.
• The ability to operate and program on MOXA™ network switches.
• The ability to read and repair fibre communication and maintain fibre rings to ensure continues communication.
• The ability to operate and program Intelli™ monitoring software.
• The ability to operate and program Comap™ suite software.
• The ability to operate and program VEDA™ software
• Understanding of different roles (fitter, rigger, boilermaker) and how they work together

Technical Skills

• Background knowledge on industrial rotating machines. Specializing on MTU ( Rolls Royce) Perkins and Caterpillar diesel machines electronic fuel management systems .

• Contribute to Reporting, Governance and Quality Assurance for area of responsibility
