- Previous technical experience (including experience in a scenic workshop working on the technical side)
- Previous experience working with Word, Excel, Email and the Internet
- Previous experience working with health and safety, including working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Working knowledge of computer-aided drawing (CAD) will be an advantage
- Previous experience supervising staff will be an advantage

The Drama Department invite suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives
To co-ordinate and supervise the activities in the workshop so as to build and construct sets for all Departmental productions, as well as acting as the Resident Safety Officer for the Rhodes Theatre Complex.
The RequirementsQualified Artisan (i.e. must have completed an apprenticeship or learnership as a Fitter and Turner or Carpenter – NQF Level 4) plus approximately 4 years’ relevant experience where such experience includes: -
