Position: Sales Team Lead - Projects

Job Overview:
As a Sales Team Lead focusing on projects, you will be responsible of achieving and exceeding project-related sales targets. You will act as a key link between the sales team and management, ensuring smooth communication and effective execution of sales strategies. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and proven experience in project-based selling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their performance and achieve sales goals.
  • Responsible for identifying business growth/ promotion platforms around the markets and liaising with the respective internal stakeholders to enhance opportunities for tapping on such opportunities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies specific to project-based sales, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Assess opportunities and drive new product introduction offering to meet customer requirements and achieve revenue targets
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt sales strategies to meet the evolving demands of the marketplace.
  • Prepare and present forecasts, sales reports, and realistic projections to senior management.
  • Ensure the team adheres to company policies, maintains data integrity, and provides excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a project-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, client engagement, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving high performance levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proven technical competence – understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate for commercial benefit
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a sales role, achieving sales targets
  • Drivers Licence
  • Commercial awareness – ability to identify opportunities and action
  • Operating in business to business environment
  • Broader understanding of economic drivers preferred
  • Success at selling new concepts and products
  • Sense of entrepreneurship in terms of ownership of and engagement with continuous self development
