Role Description

We are seeking an experienced React Native Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Accra, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable mobile and web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in React Native mobile development, modern front-end frameworks, back-end API development, database management, and cloud-native application architecture. Experience within the fintech or telecommunications sector will be highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Develop and integrate robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, NestJS, or similar backend technologies.
• Build responsive web interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, and QA Engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain scalable database structures using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across mobile and web platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application stack.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes for automated deployments.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Nice-to-Have / Advantage

• Experience in FinTech, Digital Payments, Telecommunications, or Enterprise Solutions.
• Knowledge of mobile application deployment processes for: Google Play Store & Apple App Store
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience working with distributed delivery teams across multiple countries.
