Role Overview
A reputable beach hotel based in Kilifi is seeking to recruit a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth and strengthen market presence. The role is based in Nairobi and focuses on building and managing strategic relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and MICE partners across Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and MICE administrators.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within leisure, corporate, and MICE market segments.
- Negotiate and manage agency and MICE contracts in line with the hotel’s commercial objectives.
- Evaluate partner and agent performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and results.
- Support and guide agents and MICE partners through appropriate sales tools and resources.
- Actively promote the hotel’s products and services to increase awareness, confidence, and market share.
- Agree upon, manage, and achieve defined business development and revenue targets.
- Maintain a strong professional network within the Kenyan travel, tours, and conferencing industry.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the General Manager on market trends, partnerships, and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the hospitality or travel industry.
- Strong understanding of the Kenyan tours, travel, and conferencing landscape.
- Demonstrated experience in agency and MICE contracting.
