Responsibilities:

Raw Material Inspection: Inspect incoming ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast) for quality and freshness before use. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
Process Monitoring: Monitor baking, mixing, and cooling times, temperatures, and techniques for consistency. Conduct routine inspections of raw materials and finished products.
Finished Goods Inspection: Evaluate final products (bread) for taste, texture, appearance, and packaging compliance. Work closely with production staff to improve product quality.
Hygiene and Sanitation: Enforce GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and sanitation standards for staff, equipment, and storage areas.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of daily QC checks, temperature logs, and inspection reports.
Corrective Action: Identify non-conformities, hold or discard compromised batches, and initiate root cause analysis.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO).

Requirements:

A minimum of an HND in food science, microbiology, or a related field
A minimum of 2- 3 years of proven experience in a bakery or food production environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality control processes, and workplace safety protocols (e.g., ISO)
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanor under pressure
Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes hot production environment
Competence in Microsoft Office for reporting
Attention to detail and commitment to enforcing compliance without confrontation

Remuneration: NGN 180,000 – 200,000
