Job SummaryThe Kids Club Activist is responsible for engaging, supervising, and entertaining children in a safe, fun, and educational environment within a Big 5 safari lodge. The role focuses on delivering age-appropriate activities that promote conservation awareness, creativity, and respect for wildlife, while ensuring the highest standards of child safety and guest service.Duties and ResponsibilitiesChild Care & SupervisionSupervise children at all times, ensuring their safety in a Big 5 environment.Maintain correct child-to-staff ratios in line with lodge safety policies.Ensure children follow lodge safety rules and wildlife awareness guidelines.Ensure all children are signed in and out by authorised parents or guardians only.Activity FacilitationAssist in planning and delivering daily Kids Club programmes, including nature-based, cultural, educational, and creative activities.Facilitate games, crafts, storytelling, conservation lessons, and age-appropriate outdoor activities.Adapt activities according to children’s ages, interests, weather conditions, and safari schedules.Conservation & Environmental EducationIntroduce children to basic conservation concepts, local wildlife, tracking, and environmental responsibility.Encourage respect for nature, animals, and local culture through interactive learning.Guest InteractionCreate a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and their families.Communicate clearly with parents regarding activities, schedules, and any concerns.Uphold luxury hospitality service standards at all times.Health, Safety & HygieneEnsure Kids Club areas, toys, and equipment are clean, safe, and well maintained.Assist with daily safety checks of indoor and outdoor activity areas.Respond appropriately to minor injuries or incidents and report all incidents to the Kids Club Manager.Administration & ComplianceAssist with attendance registers, activity logs, and incident reporting.Follow lodge policies, child protection guidelines, ...
