Role Overview

The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance and operational execution of multiple retail clothing stores. The role focuses on driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer experience, managing store teams, and maintaining consistent operational standards.

This position requires a hands-on retail leader who can improve store performance, enforce accountability, and build high-performing teams while ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance Management

  • Drive sales growth and profitability across assigned stores
  • Monitor KPIs including turnover, conversion, ATV and shrinkage
  • Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans
  • Ensure stores consistently achieve monthly targets
  • Analyze trading performance and provide action plans

Store Operations

  • Ensure compliance with company operational standards
  • Maintain strong in-store execution and discipline
  • Oversee opening/closing procedures and cash controls
  • Ensure stock availability and floor presentation standards
  • Support inventory accuracy and loss prevention

Customer Experience

  • Ensure stores deliver a premium customer experience
  • Monitor service standards and customer engagement
  • Resolve escalated customer issues professionally
  • Drive a culture of customer-first retail

People Leadership

  • Manage and develop store managers and teams
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching
  • Enforce accountability and discipline
