Darandi is reshaping how fertilizers are produced, distributed, and applied across Kenya and the region.
Role Overview We are seeking a commercially driven General Manager to lead Darandi’s Kenya business. The GM will own full business performance, including market entry execution, distributor development, operational coordination, and financial results. The role converts strategy into disciplined execution to ensure scalable, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities Business Leadership & Market Expansion
  • Lead Darandi’s structured entry and growth in Kenya
  • Drive distributor-led market penetration and expansion
  • Adapt go-to-market strategy based on adoption and performance data

Commercial & Financial Performance
  • Own full P&L, revenue growth, margins, and working capital discipline
  • Guide pricing, credit policy, and investment decisions
  • Ensure sustainable commercial scale

Operational Scale & Execution
  • Oversee production, logistics, warehousing, and distribution readiness
  • Ensure systems and processes scale reliably with growth
  • Identify and manage operational risks early

Team & Organizational Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional management team
  • Establish strong accountability, reporting, and execution culture

External Representation
  • Represent Darandi with distributors, regulators, partners, and investors
  • Position the company as a credible technical and commercial leader

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • 10–15years senior leadership experience in agribusiness or agricultural inputs
  • Strong track record in market entry, distributor growth, and P&L ownership
  • Experience in fertilizers, crop nutrition, or biological inputs strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of East African agricultural markets with strong commercial acumen.

  • Inventory turnover and working capital efficiency
  • Team performance and execution against growth roadmap

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
