Senior Store Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage the store’s daily operations and ensure smooth, professional service.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate sales executives, cashiers, promoters, and other store employees.
• Monitor individual and team performance against established KPIs.
• Maintain excellent customer service and promptly resolve complaints.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, labelled and promoted.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, expiry dates and product availability.
• Minimise stock losses, damages, wastage, theft and discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, POS reconciliation and daily sales reporting.
• Coordinate promotions, tastings, product launches and in-store campaigns.
• Analyse sales performance and recommend ways to improve revenue.
• Ensure the store is clean, organised and compliant with company standards.
• Work closely with the warehouse, production, marketing and management teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational and performance reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years’ relevant retail-management experience, including experience in a supermarket, pharmacy, food store or established retail business.
• Previous experience managing a store team and meeting sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, merchandising and retail operations.
• Good understanding of POS systems, cash reconciliation and sales reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic business applications.
• Honest, disciplined, customer-focused and commercially minded.
• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays according to the store schedule.
• A degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or a related discipline is preferred.
• All experience and references must be verifiable.
