Production Manager
Fresh Earth Bake House
Position Overview
Fresh Earth Bake House is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our bakery production operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production, ensuring high product quality, maintaining strict food safety standards, and managing a productive and motivated team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining allergen-control standards, improving production systems, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations

Plan, organise, and oversee daily production schedules.

Ensure production targets, deadlines, and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Monitor production efficiency, labour productivity, and wastage control.

Coordinate equipment maintenance and minimise production downtime.

Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
Food Safety & Quality Control
-
Enforce strict HACCP and allergen-control procedures.
-
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene standards.

Maintain audit readiness and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
Team Leadership

Lead, train, and supervise the production team.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Conduct staff performance management, coaching, and development.

Assist with workforce planning and succession development within the department.
Inventory & Supply Chain

Manage raw material usage, stock control, and inventory accuracy.

Coordinate with suppliers and stores to ensure uninterrupted production.

Minimise waste and improve stock management processes.
Process Improvement & R&D

Identify and implement production improvements and efficiencies.

Support new product development and production trials.

Assist in improving systems, workflows, and operational procedures.
Requirements & Experience
-
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in bakery or food production management.
-
Strong leadership and staff management skills.
-
Experience in HACCP and food safety systems.
-
Good understanding of production planning and inventory control.
-
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
-
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Sage.
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-
Relevant production management qualification advantageous.
