Known for managing complex, fast-paced operations with a heavy vehicle fleet, they are scaling their operations and investing in strong in-house capability to power their next phase of growth. With exciting ongoing and upcoming projects, this is a great opportunity for a practical, hands-on professional looking to take full ownership of financial and administrative compliance and make a real impact.

Who You Are:

Experienced Professional: Proven track record in financial administration and operational payroll management.

Systems Proficient: Highly competent in utilizing Pastel Accounting and Pastel Payroll to drive accurate data capture and reporting.

Compliance-Driven: Deep practical understanding of SARS compliance processes, including VAT, PAYE/EMP201, and EMP501 submissions.

Industry Specialist: Possess a proper, working knowledge of the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI) requirements for heavy vehicle drivers and road freight employees.

Outcome-Oriented: An organized, reliable, and trustworthy individual with an ownership mindset, able to follow processes through until completion and work under pressure.

Detail-Oriented & Analytical: Rigorous attention to detail with the ability to proactively identify compliance gaps and maintain flawless documentation control.


Your Responsibilities:

Financial & Accounts Control: Manage and support the day-to-day financial administration of the business, overseeing creditor/debtor processes, supplier follow-ups, and payment preparations.

Payroll Management: Process end-to-end payroll using Pastel Payroll, while accurately capturing employee data, managing leave, and tracking attendance records.

SARS & Statutory Alignment: Oversee all SARS-related compliance, monitoring statutory deadlines, tracking submissions/payments, and handling relevant correspondence.

Bargaining Council Compliance: Administer and monitor NBCRFLI requirements, ensuring correct employee classification, minimum wage compliance, and accurate calculations for overtime, allowances, leave pay, and holiday bonuses.

System & Document Maintenance: Establish and maintain robust filing systems and document control, keeping proper records aligned with auditors, management, and council regulations.

Strategic Administrative Support: Collaborate with management to deliver accurate financial reports, follow up on outstanding external matters, and provide reliable information for business decision-making.
