Job Purpose To support the Mechanical Engineering team in executing projects and operational tasks while undergoing structured on-the-job training. The role focuses on building practical skills in mechanical system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Learning
- Assist in the design, analysis, and review of mechanical systems and components
- Support preparation of technical drawings, layouts, and basic engineering calculations
- Participate in site inspections, measurements, and data collection
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand project scope and execution
Installation & Commissioning
- Support installation and assembly of mechanical equipment and systems
- Assist in testing and commissioning of machinery and ensure proper functionality
- Verify that installations meet design specifications and standards
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Assist in routine inspection and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems
- Support identification and troubleshooting of mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Participate in corrective maintenance activities and equipment repairs
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and technical records
- Assist in preparation of technical reports and documentation
- Support updating of engineering drawings and equipment manuals
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure proper use of tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other departments
- Participate in team meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Demonstrate initiative in learning and contributing to team goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong willingness to learn and develop practical skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (knowledge of CAD software is an added advantage)
