KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Assessment & Analysis

• Assist in the design and implementation of Social Impact Assessments (SIAs) and Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs).

• Conduct household surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and community consultations.

• Analyze socioeconomic data and prepare summary reports and assessments.

• Support the identification and analysis of project-affected persons and vulnerable groups

Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation

• Facilitate community engagement processes, public consultations, and participatory workshops.

• Liaise with local government authorities, community leaders, and project-affected communities.

• Document consultation outcomes, agreements, and community feedback accurately.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare social reports, field notes, and client deliverables in a clear and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate databases of social data, consultation records, and grievance logs.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Academic Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

• Must have graduated no earlier than 2024.

• Training in social impact assessment, participatory research methods, or project management is an added advantage.

Work Experience

• This is a graduate-entry position; no prior work experience is required.

• Experience with community-based research, fieldwork, or participatory methods gained during academic study or internships is desirable.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;

• Working experience with data analysis tools (SPSS, KOBO Toolbox, ODK) is an added advantage.

• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

• High level of cultural sensitivity, integrity, and professionalism.
