Our client, a leading supply chain management company based in Somerset West, is looking for a requires a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join their finance team. The position will be based at their offices and will report directly to the Financial Manager.
The ideal candidate is a highly organised and analytical individual with strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately under pressure. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a commitment to maintaining high financial and reporting standards.
Key responsibilities include: *Customer invoicing and ensuring timely and accurate billing processes *Preparation of supporting documentation for annual audits *Maintaining accurate accounting records, reconciliations, and month-end reporting *Managing and maintaining the fixed asset register, including monthly depreciation processing *Debtors management, including allocations, collections support, reporting of overdue accounts, and cash flow forecasting *Preparation of weekly creditor payment packs and payment forecasting *Monthly VAT reconciliations and preparation of SARS submissions *All other accounting and finance-related duties associated with the role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• B.Com Accounting degree or similar qualification required;
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles;
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant accounting experience;
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting;
• Experience with accounting systems and advanced spreadsheet skills (Xero experience advantageous).
