About this role
The HR Manager is responsible for leading and executing the Human Resources function for Ria Financial Services Senegal, SA. The role ensures alignment between business priorities and HR strategies, with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, talent management, and operational excellence.
The HR Manager acts as a key partner to local leadership and regional HR stakeholders, supporting business growth while ensuring adherence to Senegalese labor law and company policies.
Roles & responsibilities
HR Business Partnership & Local Leadership
- Act as the primary HR partner for the Senegal entity.
- Advise management on HR best practices, organizational decisions, and workforce planning.
- Support business strategy through effective people management initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional HR teams to ensure alignment with global standards.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for all positions in Senegal.
- Ensure timely, quality hiring aligned with business needs.
- Manage relationships with recruitment partners and ensure effective use of ATS (Jobvite).
- Oversee onboarding and integration of new employees.
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Drive the performance management cycle.
- Support managers in performance evaluation and development planning.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives (via LMS platforms such as Litmos).
- Contribute to succession planning and retention strategies.
Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
- Manage employee relations topics, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Lead and support negotiated exits and terminations in compliance with Senegalese labor law.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
- Liaise with labor inspectors, legal advisors, and external stakeholders when necessary.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Administration
- Support salary review processes (merit cycle, adjustments, promotions).
- Coordinate payroll activities with Finance and external providers.
- Ensure accurate HR data management in HRIS systems (Oracle Fusion).
- Manage employee benefits (health insurance, allowances, etc.).
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement (Town Halls, surveys, internal events).
- Foster a positive and high-performance workplace culture.
- Support internal communication and change management initiatives.
HR Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure efficient HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hire to exit).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and digitalization.
- Maintain HR documentation and reporting accuracy.
- Monitor HR KPIs and provide insights to management.
