Senior Winemaker

Riebeek Valley Wine Co., situated in the picturesque Riebeek Kasteel (Western Cape), has a position available for an experienced Senior Winemaker to join their team.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader, has excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality and innovation in a dynamic team environment.

The Senior Winemaker will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for: *Overseeing and coordinating all cellar and harvest activities *Managing and overseeing the entire bulk and bottled wine production process, including blending and stabilisation *Managing activities of the services cellar and liaising with clients in production of their wines *Supervising and managing cellar staff *Maintaining and managing quality control systems *Procuring necessary chemicals *Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements *Contributing to brand promotion and product development *All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Viticulture and Oenology;

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar managerial position;

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS);

• Valid driver's license.
