Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Promote and sell pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and healthcare solutions to healthcare providers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and follow up to close sales.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to pharmacists, doctors, and procurement teams.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital pharmacists, retail pharmacists, doctors, and procurement officers.
- Provide technical information and advice on product indications, usage, and storage requirements.
- Offer after-sales support and promptly resolve customer concerns.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Gather customer feedback and recommend strategies to improve market penetration.
- Identify opportunities for introducing new products.
Reporting and Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity reports.
- Submit weekly sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Follow up on payments and ensure timely debt collection where necessary.
Product Knowledge and Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and therapeutic areas.
- Ensure all promotional activities comply with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Attend training sessions, conferences, and industry events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or Diploma/Degree in Biomedical Engineering (Biomedical Technician) or any other related course from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or medical equipment sales.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic categories, and hospital procurement processes.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical products.
- Ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Self-driven and highly results-oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
