Job Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to build brands, launch new products, and drive market share growth in Cameroon. The candidate must have deep knowledge of the FMCG and distribution as well as the local Cameroonian market.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement brand strategies to build and strengthen brand portfolio in Cameroon
- Lead the end-to-end launch of new products, from concept to market introduction
- Define brand positioning, identity, and messaging for all products
- Monitor brand health and equity, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with commercial objectives
- Define and manage marketing budgets, ensuring optimal ROI
- Develop and implement media and non-media communication plans for all brands
- Coordinate with sales and distribution teams to ensure effective execution of trade marketing activities
- Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, preferences, and trends in the Cameroonian market
- Monitor competitor activity and provide competitive intelligence
- Identify market opportunities and recommend actions to increase market share
- Work closely with distribution partners to ensure product availability and visibility
- Understand the dynamics of FMCG distribution in Cameroon, including route-to-market strategies
- Develop trade marketing programs to support distributors and retailers
- Track and report on key marketing KPIs (market share, brand awareness, sales volume, ROI)
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing reports for management
- Conduct post-launch evaluations and recommend improvements
- Work closely with the Commercial Director, Sales Team, and Finance Department
- Participate in the selection and recruitment of marketing team members
- Train and coach junior marketing staff
- Prepare weekly brand performance dashboards and product launch progress reports, conduct monthly market share and competitor analysis, track and report on the marketing budget monthly, and review and present the annual marketing plan on a quarterly basis.
