Well-established engineering consultancy specializing in electrical power systems seeks to employ a Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineer. Based in Bellville
For the position you would be required to have:
- B. Sc/ B. Eng in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2years’ experience in overhead line design
- Proven working experience in PLS-CADD (non-negotiable)
- Experience with PLS-TOWER or related software advantageous
- Experience in renewable energy or large-scale transmission projects
- Exposure to transmission/distribution line design standards and practices
Responsibilities would include you to:
- Design and analysis of overhead power lines using PLS-CADD
- Perform line profiling, tower spotting, and loading analysis
- Coordinate with structural and geotechnical inputs for foundation design
- Prepare design reports, drawings, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant Eskom/SANS/international standards
- Liaise with internal teams and clients on design deliverables
