SAFETY OFFICER & COORDINATOR
An Industrial and Manufacturing Company specializing in structural, steel fabrication, container conversions and remote camp seek a Safety Officer & Coordinator at their premises in Springs, Gauteng.
Educational and Experience requirements:
- Relevant Safety Qualification (e.g. Samtrac, NEBOSH etc).
- High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication and organising skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to think and plan rationally under pressure.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Main Responsibilities (but not limited to these only)
- Oversee and enforce all site health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Ensure Full Legal Compliance with OHSA, mine regulations and client specific standards.
- Handle correspondence (email, calls and letters)
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating of workflows.
- Support daily administrative operations
- Maintain company database and ensure data accuracy.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings and ongoing safety training.
- Monitor and maintain PPE compliance and safe work practice across all teams.
