Position: Accountant & Cashier (excluding audit work)Work Location: Kampala, Uganda Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform daily accounting tasks, including voucher verification, account bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements.
2. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable of the company to guarantee clear records and timely collection & payment of funds.
3. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filing in compliance with the local tax laws of Uganda.
4. Take part in financial budgeting and cost control analysis to provide data support for management decision-making.
5. Maintain sound working relationships with banks, local tax authorities, and audit institutions.
6. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all financial data.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance, or relevant disciplines.
2. Minimum 3 years of practical accounting experience; candidates with local working experience in Uganda are preferred.
3. Familiar with Ugandan tax regulations, accounting standards, and relevant financial laws.
4. Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite.
5. Excellent communication skills with fluent standard English.
6. Strong sense of responsibility, detail-oriented, good analytical skills, and teamwork spirit.
7. Applicant must be currently residing in Uganda and available for immediate employment.
