In West and Central Africa Region (WCAR), this work is grounded in supporting country offices and governments to deliver inclusive, child‑centered digital solutions in some of the most complex contexts in close coordination/collaboration with other digital impact partners. Our mission is to strengthen UNICEF’s digital impact by promoting equitable access to information and services, empowering communities to drive lasting change for children, and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable world for every child, everywhere.

How can you make a difference

The Digital Impact Manager (Level 4) reports to the WCAR Regional Chief of Digital Impact, with a second reporting line to the Chief of Digital Center of Excellence (DCoE), in Nairobi.

Based on the established policies, guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs), the purpose of the incumbent role is to exercise a large scope of ICT functional accountability and internally manage complex ICT systems and operations and externally enhance collaboration and capacity building; improve the delivery of results and knowledge management; build business relationships and foster innovation.

Minimum requirements

  • Education: An advanced university degree is required in computer science, software engineering, information technology management, business administration, or another relevant technical field.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of eight years of professional experience in information technology management and business operations in a large international organization and/or corporation is required.
  • Skills: Proven experience in one of these several ICT technical competencies: ICT Project Management, Business Analysis, Information Security, ICT Audit and Risk Management, Telecommunications, Networks Information Security and Software Engineering and Programming
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in
