Compliance Officer

Our client, a well-established financial services business based in Paarl, is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team.This is a standalone compliance role reporting to the Group COO and working closely with the broader Group team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and strengthening the company's compliance framework, with a strong focus on AML/CFT, FICA compliance, regulatory reporting, risk management, due diligence, client onboarding, sanctions screening, and regulatory engagement. Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' compliance experience within the financial services sector.
Experience gained within banking, payments, asset management, fintech, or related financial services environments.
Strong knowledge of FICA, AML/CFT requirements, FAIS, POPIA, and regulatory reporting obligations.
Experience engaging with regulators and managing compliance monitoring programmes.
Ability to review contracts and identify regulatory risks.
Relevant qualification in Compliance, Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.
