OEM Hydraulic and Pneumatic Fitters

Overview: To install, fit and commission equipment on underground trackless mining machinery in a workshop and underground environment.

Duties:

Commissioning and retrofit equipment in accordance with Underground Products procedures

Render Breakdown and Technical Support

Maintenance, service and repairs

Monitoring and feedback reports

Fault finding, overhauling components

Provide technical support of both new and existing underground product lines

Monitor performance and conduct faults diagnostics of underground products at customer sites

Compile and submit detailed reports on Underground Product performance and identified faults

Conduct inspections, identify defects, and carry out corrective repairs

Execute preventive and planned maintenance to ensure reliability and minimize breakdowns

Keep detailed maintenance records of work performed, spares used, and equipment condition

Train, guide, and mentor assistants/apprentices to build technical capacity

Maintain high housekeeping standards in workshops and underground areas

Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with Mine Health Safety regulations and company standards

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in hydraulic and mechanical fitting on TMM machines

Competent A B certificates advantageous

Medically fit to work in underground mines on TMM essential

Matric

Suitable Trade certificate

Fluent in English verbal and written

Ability to perform fault finding and root cause analysis

Must have a valid drivers license

Must not have a criminal record

Willing to work overtime

Willing to travel

Remuneration:

Market related plus LDV
